A ratio would be number of touchdowns per pick thrown. Thank you, Peter King for making this misconception part of the standard football lingo.

Glad to see someone bring up Plaxico, though. This is the time a QB would need a dominating go-to receiver, and as great as Smith was during the first 5 games, teams seem to have caught up.Doctorjortshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01708231582042218526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10242068.post-25611880705119165852009-12-03T10:15:18.704-06:002009-12-03T10:15:18.704-06:00Let's not completely overlook the fact that Da...Let's not completely overlook the fact that Dallas teams in the past three years look tired and beaten by December. Romo was returning from injury last season and I'm not convinced that hand was fully healed. Numbers? 33 sacks in December. 10 1/2 OVER the monthly average. That says something about your linemen, to me, as much as your QB play.

As for 2009? I guess it remains to be seen. It's frustrating because they always look strong (to quite strong) on Thanksgiving Day, which has given us the false impression that they're "getting stronger" or "building to something bigger in the next month."

I'm going to choose to believe in Brookings who says that this team is this team, not teams from the past.Phil K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06940202740413028303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10242068.post-54952595805715183792009-12-03T10:03:12.006-06:002009-12-03T10:03:12.006-06:00I guess I don't understand where this is argum...I guess I don't understand where this is argument is going. My guess is that QB rating per month is ultimately irrelevant?

Here are some more numbers to chew on:
Wade Phillips has a better career regular season winning percentage than Tom Coughlin (.600 to .553 respectively). However, Coughlin has won 8 playoff games out of 15, Wade is 0-4. Coughlin has a Lombardi Trophy, Wade has zilch.

Coughlin did much of that post-season winning with an expansion team. Wade has run teams with Hall of Famers like John Elway into the ground.

I'll take dumbface, Coughlin and the hardware over Wade, Romo and Romo's regular season Fantasy Football stats anyday.TSYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04601199774317962699noreply@blogger.com
