He has his flaws, everyone knows that. But his absolute strength, even more so than his mobility or accuracy outside of the pocket, is his fight. If any quarterback in the league had an excuse to give up it would be Tony. But no matter how many times he gets hit, runs for his life, or throws an untimely interception Romo is giving 110 percent the very next play. I think THIS is the leadership quality that people have been asking for for so long and it's this quality that trickles down to each player on that team.

JacobAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06486507647838406317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10242068.post-58566336958863038632012-12-10T10:02:48.157-06:002012-12-10T10:02:48.157-06:00Bob----Thank you for this post. I've been a fan since I was 7 years old, in 1971, and so have seen the highs and lows, as you have.

Yesterday's game felt very frustrating and yet I noticed that the Cowboys were not down by 20 or more points at halftime, but less than a touchdown. I thought: OK, if they hold to form, they will mount some kind of a comeback. And they did. I recalled the 90s glory days when it was common for Dallas to "make adjustments at halftime." Maybe that idea and the star are about all the two eras have in common, but OK, I'll take it. I like their grit. They hang tough.

For all the talk of pro players being me-first and only in it for the money, I get the sense that Garrett has built a team that is emotionally bounded, one to the other. It's still a company, players come and go, but there is a heart there that we as fans are seeing week after week. Not long ago, it wasn't there, and the losses hurt, but not so deeply. And the wins, even the ugly ones, did not feel so good.

Anyway, thanks for your comments on this game. I figure by now it's plain we can beat or lose to anyone. We're that good and bad. But we will fight, and fight, and fight. It's something to see.

Peace,
Raymondspiritplanterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07580815765670681854noreply@blogger.com
