My take... TO wanted some balls deep, over the middle.. the "bread and butter". He didnt get any of those (okay well one was passed his way, but it was about 20 yards over his head). I don't think he was so much saying 19 passes his way wern't enough... but just the passes that went his way. Yea, we can throw the little screen pass to him, and get 4 yards, but that isn't what the cowboys want, or need. Damn the media for blowing this whole TO thing out of proportion. You know this WOULDNT be a big deal at all, if people woudlnt be going on and on about it. Weather or not if you are saying "what he did was no big deal" or "TO is cancer", bringing it up is adding fuel to the fire.

I agree with how the Hardline addressed the Favre trade.. they wouldnt address it until there were facts and an actual trade made... so they we're not adding to the whole deal. If more people would have this view of the TO comments, it wouldnt have to be a story.

Shit, I might tell Romo his passes we're off if I were on the team, cause... they were. Such is life. TO doesn't hate Romo, Romo doesn't have a conflict with TO. Romo's passes were off, TO couldn't catch some passes that came to him. Boo Hoo. Lets get to week 5.

Love you Sturm, ... fire Dan,

P1 KyleVan Deusenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16754615076260827929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10242068.post-19596014009964244412008-10-01T08:54:00.000-05:002008-10-01T08:54:00.000-05:00pooooor aggy. Somehow this is the same mediocre underachieving bunch on Defense they have been for years now. Brian Stewart is the NFL equivalent of Simple Jack stalking our sidelines. Wade Phillips version of the 3-4 isnt much better than Parcells. Those guys, plus the gutless players they have on defense are the ones that should be having to face the music.Iamaspecialbruinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12277803143570445095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10242068.post-56490275906305892662008-09-30T12:20:00.000-05:002008-09-30T12:20:00.000-05:00It amazing that Garret is being raked over the coa...It amazing that Garret is being raked over the coals for putting up 24 points, despite his ridiculous game plan. He knew that he had just crushed a respected foe in Green Bay with his running game. He knew that Washington would prepare hard for that running game and be prepared to take that away from him. He thought that by coming with a game plan to "sling it around" that he would be able to consistently take advantage of Washington's week of misguided preparation on the Dallas power running game. Ooops. Washington has a great secondary too.

The biggest problem to me about Garrett's approach here is not that he got cute with the gameplan and tried to take advantage of what he thought Washington would be prepping for and expecting. But that the lack of adjustments at half-time on the offensive side of the ball was not up to its typical outstanding level. Normally, I view the Cowboy's half-time adjustments as some of the best, if not the best, in the NFL. This week it seemed like they thought about going to the run in that first drive of the second half (MB for 15 yards on one play). But they scored so quickly on a couple of decent pass plays, plus Barber's run, that they then once again forgot about it. And, the Defense didn't adjust to suck it up against the run in the second half like they normally do either. That was a deadly cocktail for a team that needed to get back to the run and control the ball. They had some success passing the ball on the first drive which lulled them away from the run and the defense gave up long possessions to Washington which negated their ability to really pound the ball because they were behind with little time.

One other note about C.C. I heard yesterday. He leads both the AL and NL in shutouts this year? holy cow. he's good.Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17750205870262764033noreply@blogger.com
