National Weather Center Blog Update
80% chance of blog on Tuesday due to an early morning meeting at the station.
I don't think the ratings are a big deal. The Hardline has been on for 12 years X 4 books a year = 48 ratings periods. One book in which they only won by 2 touchdowns instead of 6 is hardly a loss.
We both know that ESPN isn't the Hardline's real competition in the coveted male 18-34 demographic--Russ Martin is. And right now, he's kicking their ass.

I have my own show to worry about, so I don't know if that is true or not. What I do know is this: we have never, ever, cared about 18-34. That is not coveted. All ratings, hirings, firings, bonuses, etc are based on Males 25-54 around here. the 18-24 year old male may buy ipods, but not cars or houses.
In that demo, I believe all is well, and has been since about 1994.
why don't you just do the blog at night?
ReplyDeleteIt will be worth it if the announcement is Cobra being fired, then beaten with bamboo shoots.
ReplyDeleteNo more Hansen? Norm only till 11:00? No more of those Gawd-awful olympic updates?
ReplyDeleteSadly, this more than likely has to do with the sale of The Ticket.
On a positive note Big Mac has to be at work early. He's gonna be cranky today. Big Mac v Gribble III?
Also, Gribble needs to do 20's reporter guy during the meeting!!!
Announcement probably has something to do with the struggling ratings. Hardline is getting killed in their time slot.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Hardline ratings, since Danny is off this week it should be listenable again.
ReplyDeleteGetting killed by who?
ReplyDeletekilled by whom? ESPN? Or 105.3?
ReplyDeleteNo more Micky???...thank God.

ReplyDeleteKilled by pretty much everyone. Even the God-Awful ESPN has closed the gap to pretty much a neck and neck race.
Good job, Cat.
