Game 6 Thread
If you are a girl who listens to our show, and you have a sign like this, that you get photographed with at Game 5, then I will post it before Game 6.
You're right...this no longer sucks. This is the opposite of suck...this is great! As one of the few morons who was in attendance at the Mavs '97 home opener...I have been waiting for this moment for a very very long time!!!
I am watching the psot game show on TNT and all they are FREKING talking about are the EFFING Suns... STILL.
Hey Kenny, Charles.... THEY LOST! Cuban should show this post game show on the flight back to get the team fired up... we are the Rodney Dangerfields of the playoffs. We get NO RESPECT.
I am so freaking tired of the coverage. Right... the Suns are going to win it all NEXT year.
Right Charles... the refs STOLE the game. "Dey calls it too tight".
The Mavs won because they PLAY DEFENSE, GET REBOUNDS and OG TO THE HOOP. THEY PLAY BASKETBALL.
Enjoy the friggin moment already. Whining about what other people are saying when your team is holding the trophy and playing the tired 'we don't get any respect card' is as lame as what Detroit and SA fans have done the last couple of years.....
Look to the scoreboard/trophy cabinet for validation instead of scouring the media to see if what they think about you....geesh.
As one of the long-time Mavs fans (I moved to Dallas in 1986), I was at all three games at home during the 1988 WCF against the Lakers. I remember watching Harper score late in game 6 to keep the series alive, I remember Tarpley on the big screen chanting "Beat LA" and I remember getting goose bumps being in the arena. As asked earlier, if it's gay to be near tears over this team, then that's what I am.
I just finished watching the game (had to work late) and I can't believe that this team now has the guts to come from 18 points down to win by 10. A few years ago, this would have gone from 18 down to 30 down. Now, we take an 18 point deficit, on the road no less and turn it into a 10 point win. I am so happy right now I can't even believe it. What a great day to be a Mavs fan!
It's still a bit surreal. i keep seeing and hearing that the mavs are in the finals. it's been a long time coming. it's sweet to come from the abdul jeelani days to this. permagrinnin' like crazy.
Just wanted to say a big F YOU to the Academy store manager in Mesquite, who turned away families and others who drove to his store to buy Mavs gear, and promptly got the door slammed in their faces.
Way to go, dude. have fun working at Academy the rest of your life...

all i know is, when my team wins a ticket to play in the finals....i'd like to see a little recognition. what i saw was pitiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is not the freaking Special Olympics. We're not going to give the Suns a medal for trying hard. THEY LOST. THE MAVS WON.
ReplyDeleteNext.
Time for the Mayoral Bet. I say Laura Miller offers to bet the Miami Mayor our Mexicans for their Cubans.
ReplyDeleteBe careful that the mayor of Miami doesn't try to pass off some Salvadorans!
