Cat in my backyard
This unidentified large cat was prowling in my backyard. So, hide your kids and hide your wife:
We have bobcats in our backyard area as well (Andy Brown East by the aquatic center), they go from the woods to the pond every night, and we cross paths all the time. They hide in the weeds along the pond shoreline, and growl if you get too close.
The Coyotes are even spookier, they're all mangie and slink around low and skittish like.
At least the bobcats seem to have their wits, and would probably flee. The coyotes will probably attack just to attack.
But if a bobcat decides he doesn't like hockey, he'll will tear you a new one...literally! Small but bad mudders!
If you have coyotes, they're sneaky. If your dog is too big, or too well-lit area, one will come play with your dog, lead it off for fun, and then several will kill it.
It's Texas, Bob. And don't tell us about badgers. We don't need no stinkin' badgers.
Bob, I think "cat" is a bit of an understatement!
ReplyDeleteBob, see this:

You shouldn't have to worry about bob cats they will just try to avoid you. As long as you are dressed up like a turkey or something ;-)
