Bob, was Avery the best MAVS coach ever? Straight up comparison to other coaches during their MAVS tenure.
He certainly never had his name in a catchy jingle...
"Dick Motta, we got 'em!"
According to Avery, if it weren't for him, the Mavs would be a lottery team every year.

don nelson deserves a lot of credit. avery acts like he took a 10 win team and brought them to the finals. dallas was a top 4 team when he took it over. he did good to bring them to the finals. don turned this team around from the embarassment it once was
So last offseason Dirk goes backpacking in Australia. Should we expect next preseason to hear about Howard's soul searching in Amsterdam?

First - Don Nelson was the best Mavs coach ever. The Mavs went from crap to downright love-able under him. Avery undid it all almost completely in under two years.
Second - is that coke under Josh's nose? I know it has to be coke under Avery's nose, after listening to his press conference.
