Holy Freaking Cow. Boys lose, 21-20.

Once upon a time in Dallas Cowboys history, it was once said about Cowboys TE Jackie Smith, "Bless his heart, he's got to be the sickest man in America!"

I think he is no longer the sickest man in America.

In a game that has "Instant Classic" written all over it, the season ends.

The Boys played their heart out. But in the end, it came down to an overturned spot, a poor hold, and the season ends.

Ouch. I feel badly for the Cowboys Fan tonight.

But, I got Tony Romo's back. He will return.

Sturm, my heart is sad. So sad. Why do we keep having these awful endings to our Dallas seasons.

I hope Romo doesn't go the way of Vanderjagt. I wonder if he'll get his confidence back.

I say this with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek, but, this game was once again the KICKER'S fault! If he's able to block the corner for just a split second longer on the botched kick, then Romo scores easily. Romo was caught because Gramatica couldn't hold his block. I say cut him now!!!!!

Seriously, I think Romo will come back better than ever next season. I think he has the stomach to put it behind him and move on next year.

I'm also hoping that he'll get a chance to be the holder in Hawaii.

Go FROGS!

Interesting headline on SI.com. The title of the story is... "Cowboys late FG finishes Seahawks"

Huh?????

Man, what a ridiculous ending but maybe the football gods wanted it this way.

I have never been so emotionally drained by one team in my life. What can you say??

Good effort? ok

Solid defense? um, sort of

Offense was on fire? not so much

With both teams just going along all night, Seattle was trying its best to lose but once again, we couldn't put this in the bag.

Next year is a long way away, but let's go draft some front line help on defense and maybe package a few people (TO included) to go get some defensive bad asses at LB or safety.

Wow. Its over and another soap opera offseason awaits... goody

Strangely enough the gaffe by Romo could've been a blessing in disguise. Had the Cowboys made the FG, the Seahawks would have had about 1:15 to drive for a FG with a kicker who set or nearly set the record for last second, game winning kicks in a season. And against the passing defense of the Cowboys which has been porous under pressure lately.

Hold the Seahawks without a first down from the 2 - and with 3 timeouts - the Cowboys could have gotten the ball back with about 30 seconds left around the Seahawks' 40 yard line for a last second FG of their own - and leaving no time on the clock for the Seahawks to mount a GW drive of their own.

I blame the defense too, then, for that 20 yard run Alexander ripped off from the 2 that basically sealed the game. So easy on yourself Romo.

There's plenty of blame to go around for that abortion of a game. And the season. A complete kick in the nuts, but somehow, it seems like an appropriate ending.

Romo will bounce back. I think this also seals that Parcells will come back, as he will not want to retire from coaching this way. The Cowboys are close to breaking through, and this is coming from an Eagles fan.

On that third down play where the spot on Witten's catch was challenged, where were the other Cowboys trying to push Witten ahead that extra foot? It was Witten against three guys. If even one other Cowboy had come over to push, I bet Witten would've gotten that first down.

It seems to me that the fumble by Glenn giving the Seahawks 2 points is what cost us the game. The score would have been 20-19 boys.

the rope broke and the bullet in the chamber was a dud...looks like i have to go through this again next year.

1st it was the Mavs, now this?

Damn.

#31 is still chasin and never gonna catch anyone!

The cowboys set a record for most playoff apperances for one team Saturday night. What a way to remember that record.

If the defense had done what it was supposed to do after the botched field goal, Romo would have had a very good chance to redeem himself with the ball near midfield and a good 35-40 seconds with which to work with.

But alas, as Brian mentioned, they let Shaun Alexander escape the shadow of his team's goalpost with a nice long run to effectively end the game.

But I'm already over this one.

This didn't have a long playoff run in them. Neither will Seattle. A Dallas win last night would have simply ended a meanginless drought and delayed the inevitable by about a week.
