Decoding the Offense - Week 9

The Cowboys tried hard to run the ball on 1st down, running the ball 13 of 22 times. But, what an utter waste of time that turned out to be. Take out a 12 yard run for Tashard Choice at garbage time, and the other 12 runs went for a grand total of 11 yards! The 9 passes yielded just 26 yards, which means that on 22 first down plays they rolled up 49 yards. That is right. 2 yards a play on average. 2nd and long. Every time.

Under Center for the entire game the Cowboys accounted for 45 yards on 22 snaps.

Dreadful.

Of course, in the shotgun, things were only marginally better. Another poor week for S11 from many standpoints, not the least of which were 4 sacks allowed from the Shotgun.
