Los Angeles Lakers Tattoo Report

Last Tattoo Report of the 2009-10 season takes us to the Los Angeles Lakers. Whether they win the NBA Finals against Boston has yet to be determined, but the defending NBA Champions will certainly not win the Tattoo title. After further review - Thanks to Alex - the Lakers have a respectable, but not special, 8 tattoos.

Unless my research is incorrect, those who I thought may have ink who apparently do not include Fisher (edit! Yes he does), Odom (edit! Yes, he does, too), and Bynum. I suppose they may have that hidden back tattoo, but I couldn't find a trace of it on the net.

As usual, my findings are done in a hasty search through google, so if I have something wrong, help me get it right.

Boston Celtics Tattoo Report

Watching the NBA Finals, I thought I would get up off my keyboard and check the ink on our rivals. First, the Boston Celtics. This is what actually inspired this time wasting study. Back when Boston visited Dallas this year, I remember marveling at how few Celtics seemed to have ink. Pierce, Rondo, Allen. They all seemed bare. But, the study showed that Pierce and Rondo both have ink, but not the traditional NBA player on the shoulder and arm. Rather, Rondo and Pierce both have huge back tats, as shown in the pictures on this entry.

Tricky, huh? But, with a little help from google....now we can find them.

Phoenix Suns Tattoo Report

One great thing about being a "free agent" blogger (which is another way of saying I am currently unemployed as a blog institution) is that I can take a nice break after the Mavs and Stars are done and before the Cowboys begin.

But, what if I wake up and realize I haven't done a Phoenix Suns Tattoo Report?

My Suns report is very unimpressive. I really thought they would do better than this, but it appears that they have one of the least inked teams in the league. Amare, Richardson, Frye, and 2 dudes I have never heard of.

San Antonio Spurs Tattoo Report

Here is a belated tattoo report on our dear friends, the San Antonio Spurs. A very under-rated ink team, as their key players either have no ink, or very little. But, some sneaky recent acquisitions has made this a very impressive roster of tats.

Surely, the most interesting tattoo tale of the Spurs must be how Tony Parker and his celebrity wife made their marriage official with a trip to the tattoo artist...

Oklahoma City Thunder Tattoo Report

First, a disclaimer. I did not watch this game from a tattoo perspective, so all of my findings are off internet searches of each player. This, of course, is highly unreliable, so I welcome any of you setting me straight if I get this wrong.

That being said, the Thunder are shockingly not in the tattoo club. 2 for 15 is so easily the lowest title of anyone we have studied, that I feel the findings are faulty.

They are young, but so far, it appears, no ink to speak of.

Orlando Magic Tattoo Report

Orlando has a impressive crew of ink when you consider some of its most prominent players have never taken the plunge (Dwight Howard, Vince Carter). This is continuing to reveal a trend that I did not expect to find - that a rather high percentage of marquee players have never received a tattoo. So far, in our project, we have found that: Dirk, Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay, Howard, Carter, Chris Paul, D-Wade are all without ink. We shall keep an eye on this trend.

Denver Nuggets Tattoo Report

We all thought going in that the Nuggets would be the most tattooed team in the league without doing the research. But, for the sake of good times, here are my findings from Monday Night's game.

This obviously does not demonstrate just HOW tattooed they truly are. Per square inch, it is amazing. And consider that of their 4 guys without tats, 3 were added this season.

Dallas Mavericks Tattoo Report

Other than my own personal interest, I am not sure who else will care about entries like this, but the good thing about having your own blog is it really only matters what you want to do with it. With that in mind....

Here is the start of my tattoo resource center for NBA rosters. Just for purposes of knowing, I am thinking I will compile a page for each team that shows who has ink and who doesn't.

Why? No clue. Here are the Mavericks, with picture evidence of the inked below. I think you will particularly enjoy finding out which US President DeShawn Stevenson has elected to honor...on his throat.
